The sulphurous waters springs flowing from Mount Kronio slopes were known and appreciated since the ancient Greeks times.
It was the Greeks who gave Sciacca its ancient name of Thermao Selinuntiai, Selinunte's thermal baths. Even the Romans, spa lovers, exploited the sulphurous waters for their therapeutic qualities and founded in Sciacca stopping place that served the whole island.
We will walk along a path that will take us to see the Molinelli waters, and then to see the old Terme Selinuntine following the torrent to reach the sulfur springs source.
