This is a lesser-known version of the Icarus legend. His father Daedalus, the famous Athenian architect who built the labyrinth of Crete for King Minos, safely landed on these heights. Here, with his ingenuity, he created thermal baths to channel sulfurous vapors with legendary therapeutic properties.
