The almonds from our region take the spotlight, and you'll learn how to use them in various desserts.
Master pastry chefs or the innkeeper will unveil the secrets passed down from our grandmothers for making Frutta Martorana, which originated in the 1500s when the nuns of the Martorana Convent in Palermo painted sweets to adorn the fruit trees in their garden for an important autumn visit. You'll also delve into the typical Ova Murina and Cucchitelle, both born in convents from the skillful hands of the nuns.
