TREKKING THROUGH SCENIC TRAILS AND THE ANCIENT SELINUNTINAE THERMAL BATHS
Mount Kronio, with its strong warm air currents, is said to be the place where Icarus, the son of Daedalus, fell when the wax holding his feathers together melted, causing his wings to fail. This is a lesser-known version of the Icarus legend. His father Daedalus, the famous Athenian architect who built the labyrinth of Crete for King Minos, safely landed on these heights. Here, with his ingenuity, he created thermal baths to channel sulfurous vapors with legendary therapeutic properties. You too can experience this mythical healing journey, surrounded by steam, landscapes, and the discovery of Mediterranean plants.
